Once the only thing Miss Barbie Mattel was to marry Ken now she want to be inked first. Times certainly have changed and not everyone is happy. Barbie is having problems with the relative; kids parents who don’t think their kids should hang out with Barbie.

Not a good role model. Soon their 6 year olds will be screaming for a tat 2. Of course, no one has mentioned whatt Ken thinks about all of this. And what about his tattoos?

In a recent article by www.postchronicle.com shows parents divided on the latest Mattel craze.

Barbie is a little late. Celebritity tattoos have been around for a while now, so Babrie is not an early adopter she’s just catching up. But the advice is the same: tattoo selection and care is very important, keep them clean, moisturize and find a good tattoo artist.

Tattoo Barbie – Some parents have objected to Mattel’s "Totally Stylin’ Tattoos" Barbie doll, a new toy that has already sold out in several Sacramento, Calif., area stores.

The Barbie comes with a set of tattoo stickers that can be placed anywhere on her body and a tattoo gun that allows children to stamp temporary tattoos on the doll’s clothes and on themselves, KVOR-TV, Sacramento, reported Thursday.

I think it’s attracting kids too young that want to expose parts of body to show off tattoos," Sacramento-area parent Jen Alcayaga said.

Some parents said they find the doll relatively harmless.

"Maybe it’s a sign of the times. Each generation is different. Elvis was evil at one time," Brandon Thompson said.

Mattel said there are no plans to discontinue production of the toy. Isn’t it amazing that in our society a race car driver can’t have a tattoo on her lower back but a doll that young girls play with can. (c) tPC (c) UPI.
